DUNE ANTTO JACKET

Inspired by the yukata-shaped chef coat worn by our friend Chef Antto Melasniemi and the yukatas worn by Toshiro Mifune in his numerous roles as the samurai in Kurosawa’s films, the Antto Jacket is made with a lightweight twill hand-dyed in natural Sakon Nakhon Indigo by our Indigo Grandmas.

The Antto Jacket has epaulettes on both shoulders, a little twist from the original shape. The underside is in the mud-dyed Dune color, and the stitched lapel with lines for more structure, also as a knot detail on the yukata.

Deep dive into the details; a magnetic snap button on the outside with an inner metal button and a flap to secure the pocket even more. Adjustable fabric ties that fall on the side can be styled in the front, at the back, or through the epaulette. A  slit pocket on the left-hand side is lined with silk. Two slits on both sides of the jacket hem are also trimmed with piping in Dune color.

Dune is one of our signature colors. The fabric panels are hand-dyed in natural mud from the local village in Sakon Nakhon. The mud dye gives a warm sand-dune color.

Composition: 100% Cotton. 100% Silk Pocket Lining. Mineral dye: Red earth dye.
